Introduction: Gagaku is a Japanese traditional music that has been around since the Heian era! Members of our gagakukai choose one from these three instruments and practice it: houshou, ryuteki, hichiriki. Aside from playing instruments, wearing costumes such as kariginu and hakama, and traditional dance are part of our activities as well. Almost all of our members strive to become a reijin (gagaku player) with no experience. Each has different motivations, such as anime, manga and textbooks. Would you like to step into the world of elegant traditional culture?
